1. How much does custom composed music cost?
Due to the custom nature of the music being created, all pricing is specific to the individual project. Factors such as length, complexity, and arrangement requirements all influence the final cost. I work diligently with clients to stay within their budgets and offer competitive pricing.
2. Do you offer bundles for multiple pieces?
Yes. Depending on the project circumstances, there is bundled pricing for larger projects and shows.
3. What is the timeline for custom composed music?
Timelines vary depending on the length and complexity of each project but setting a specific timeline at the beginning of the project, in consultation with clients, ensures that I meet their needs and deadlines.
4. Do you offer rush services if I’m on a tight deadline?
Yes. If I am able to, I can offer expedited services to ensure clients meet their deadlines.
5. What kind of time commitment is required from me when getting custom composed music made?
The client commitment can vary based on client needs and desires. If you have specific ideas you want me to bring to life, I will meet with you and ensure I understand all of those details. If you’d rather not be as involved, I can come up with ideas for you and present them. Either way, throughout the process, I will keep all stakeholders informed and up to date with the various stages of the piece(s). Throughout this process, I will provide demo versions of the arrangements to hear and to provide any changes, if necessary.
6. Who comes up with ideas for the custom composed music?
This is generally a collaborative process. I listen and ask questions to ensure I understand the overall vision of your art, and create music that enhances your vision, ensuring an outstanding final product.
7. How do you ensure the music matches my vision?
I have many years of experience working with Ukrainian music and have a deep understanding of the style and genre. I layer my knowledge and experience with your initial ideas and vision to create a specialized custom piece and provide demo versions along the way to ensure it fits your vision. Changes can always be made as your ideas develop which gives you the flexibly to match the music to every development.
8.Can I provide references or examples of music I like?
Yes. If there are specifics that you like from other music: folk melodies, musical arraignments, instrumentations, or overall feel, I will take those and develop a new custom piece that meets all of your needs.
9. Can you adapt existing Ukrainian songs into custom arrangements?
Yes. I have vast knowledge of Ukrainian folk songs and melodies, and know how to apply their meaning and significance to your project. If you have specific folk melodies you would like incorporated, I will find the way to blend them with fresh new ideas to make a unique and special custom arrangement.
10. Who plays the instruments on these recorded pieces?
I am honoured to work with some of the country’s best folk musicians who add their own flair and expertise to each project. These musicians are at the top of their field and that high caliber sound is evident in your final product.
11. How many revisions are included?
Revisions come at two stages of the project. During the initial composition stage, I will provide demo recordings for you to listen to and change as needed. I will make as many changes as necessary to ensure you are completely satisfied with the arrangement. Durring the mixing/mastering stage, I also can make any sonic changes as required to make sure you are completely happy with the final product.
12. Who owns the rights to the music?
Each client owns all rights for public performances and all distribution rights ("full usage") not involving sales revenue to the recorded music. All distribution rights to the recorded music involving sales revenue (including physical sales, streaming revenue, & sync licensing) remain with Mark Klopoushak.
13. Can I use the music for competitions, performances, or video?
Yes. This music is yours to use as you choose for any performance and promotional use. Music sales not permitted without prior written consent.
14. Will the music be exclusive to me?
Yes. As these pieces are all custom projects, you will have exclusive access to use the music.
15. Can I request full buyout rights?
Yes. Full buyout of the rights to the music, including sales, can be negotiated.
